Site-specific light installation, Narva Kreenholm, 2024
Sunlight falls from the windows of the former buildings of the Narva Kreenholm Manufactory into the currently empty rooms, drawing plays of light and shadow on the floors, walls, columns, and crumbling plaster. As if nature itself wanted the centuries-old patterns that have shaped the appearance of the homes and clothing of so many Estonians and residents of the surrounding area to continue here.
288 The patterns and their reflections have a sacred effect between the rows of tall columns, being just a small part of the thousands of patterns created at the Kreenholm Manufactory over the centuries.
