Kalevi Rowing Base, Pärnu, 2022

On October 31, 2022, a memorial to the great man of Estonian rowing – Heino Kurvet, made by Elo Liiv, was opened in front of the Pärnu Rowing Base. The artist chose to portray a moment that reflects Kurvet’s deep connection with his beloved river, what happens in the eyes and nature of the athlete, where he sees the perspective of his work, the results in his own achievement and that of his students. A mix of hard work and enthusiasm and enjoyment that is familiar to anyone who does something with passion in their life.
