Traditional culture in all its diversity offers many different possibilities for approach, it is a fascinating world that has no end or edge. Participants of any age will recognize what is characteristic of them and necessary, gaining experience in meaningful manual activity. In an era when the growing generation cannot even cut bread with a knife, traditional culture workshops could also be considered survival training.
National woodworking – archaic woodworking techniques, writing, storing raw materials according to purpose, wooden tools, sharpening them, maintenance – is an important and almost extinct area of Estonian traditional culture. Workshop participants will gain experience and knowledge of the above, as well as some discussions about traditional culture in general. There is no age limit for participants, the youngest should be accompanied by an adult.
